Video artists come together the first Tuesday of every month to share ideas, show their work and collaborate with other artists in an informal and social setting. The event is held at Dimension7, a San Francisco VJ institution. Video Salon is free and open to public and all equipment is provided for artists. Video Salon provides 3 video mixing stations set up for anyone and everyone to show their work. Video Salon embraces a broad spectrum of time based visual artists including computer graphic artists, experimental film makers, live visual performance artists and installation builders.
In addition to demonstrations of new audio/video hardware and software, we have screenings of VJTV, Addictive TV and Lightrhythm Visuals VJ clips and interviews.
Video Salon strives to promote technical experimentation and aesthetic development within the VJ community. It creates an open dialog encouraging mutually beneficial critique, cross-pollination and collaboration.
